The short answer: Foris DAX is real — but read this before you hand over any money

Foris DAX is Foris DAX CAN ULC, carrying on business as Crypto.com, together with Foris DAX Limited and Foris Holdings US, Inc. These are the facts that check out on public registers — the complaint record is what our review is still working through:

  • The Ontario Securities Commission decision of 18 August 2026 is in the matter of Foris DAX CAN ULC (carrying on business as Crypto.com), Foris DAX Limited, and Foris Holdings US, Inc. It varies a 8 May 2025 decision. The filer is registered as a restricted dealer.
  • The OSC crypto-platform list shows the same three entities, operating as Crypto.com, as a restricted dealer (dealer and marketplace), with the 8 May 2025 decision and the 18 August 2026 amendment. The amendment adds Solana to the list of specified crypto assets that are not subject to the investment limit. The public site for the platform is crypto.com.
  • A restricted-dealer registration is permission to operate the platform on the conditions in those decisions. It is not a promise that every coin on the internet is covered, and it does not cover a website that is only using the Crypto.com name.

Checking out is not the same as closed: the complaints against Foris DAX are under active investigation, and none of the facts above protects you from a fake. Most 'foris dax scam' searches trace to impersonators, not the platform itself — the ones that don't are the reason we investigate.

One more thing before you deposit: the complaints around Foris DAX are under investigation — by us, not by a regulator. Impersonators are the complaint pattern around this brand: fake support, fake apps, and giveaways. Foris DAX is the registered Canadian entity. A message that asks for a fee, a seed phrase, or a deposit to an address the app did not generate is not Crypto.com. Type crypto.com yourself.

Sort your situation

Real-platform dispute or impersonation fraud?

Both feel identical from the inside. They are fixed by completely different routes — and the fastest way to tell them apart is to ask three questions.

If it is the real platform: your dispute runs through its formal complaints process, then the regulator or ombudsman. Slow, but it usually works. Staff of the real platform do not ask you to move coins to a personal wallet so they can “verify” the account.

If it was an impersonator: you were never a customer of Foris DAX at all. A clone site, a fake “account manager”, a lookalike domain — the money went to criminals, not to the platform. That is fraud, and speed decides what can be recovered.

The three questions: did you type the official domain yourself, or follow a link, advert or message? Did anyone contact you first? Were you asked to pay a personal account or a different domain? If any answer is wrong, treat it as impersonation — and start here.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Foris DAX a scam?

No — Foris DAX is a real business: The Ontario Securities Commission decision of 18 August 2026 is in the matter of Foris DAX CAN ULC (carrying on business as Crypto.com), Foris DAX Limited, and Foris Holdings US, Inc. It varies a 8 May 2025 decision. The filer is registered as a restricted dealer. The scam stories you see online usually trace to fakes borrowing its name — and the ones that don't are part of our active investigation. But read the note above first — the business is real, and so are the caveats.

Is Foris DAX regulated?

Foris DAX CAN ULC, operating as Crypto.com, is registered with the OSC as a restricted dealer. The current public decision was amended on 18 August 2026. Confirm the name on osc.ca, then use only crypto.com.

I lost money to someone claiming to be Foris DAX — is that the real company?

Almost certainly not. Impersonators borrow the name, the logo, even the licence number. The real company knows nothing about it. Keep every message, receipt, URL and wallet address — that evidence is what an investigation builds on.

I paid a fake Foris DAX site. What is enough to send?

The domain you actually used, the date, and whether it was a card, a bank transfer, or crypto. Or the name of the person who told you to pay. Or one screenshot. Where the same payment shows up from other people, those files can sit together as a class action. The first look is free.

How do I check the Foris DAX site I used is genuine?

Type the official domain yourself — crypto.com — never follow a link from an advert, email or message. Then check the regulator's public register, which lists the firm's genuine website. If your domain differs by even one character, it was a fake.
